This contest is based on the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. You will make picks for all games in the tournament and earn points for each correct pick. This contest and website are not affiliated or endorsed by the NCAA. This contest will refer to the "Last Four" and "Last Sixteen" rather than their more familiar "Final" and "Sweet" nicknames.
The valid entries with the top 5 scores at the conclusion of the tournament will be the winners of this pool. If there is a tied score for any of the top 5, the tie-breaker will be used to determine who wins the prize. Please read the scoring, bonus scoring and tie-breaker rules below carefully. Brackets that are not filled out by the deadline will be assigned random picks by the website, however, all #1 seeds will be picked to lose in the first round making it unlikely that a randomly filled bracket will win a prize in the contest. (People who sign up for a Login ID but do not create a bracket will not have a random bracket created for them, so they will not be participating in the contest.)

About the Contest This contest is based on the 2009 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. You will pick the winner for each game on the entire bracket. Points are scored according to the rules explained below. At the end of the tournament, the person with the most points wins the contest. One Bracket Limit Each person is limited to one entry bracket. Submitting multiple brackets using multiple Login IDs is not allowed and may result in all of your brackets being disqualified. Bracket Deadlines Brackets can be added, edited and deleted up until the bracket deadline on Thursday, March 19th at 12:00 PM ET. Play-in Game Officially called the "Opening Round", the Play-in game is a preliminary game that takes place two days before the tournament first round. The winner of the Play-in game gets placed on the bracket as a #16 seed and will face a #1 seed in the 1st round. The Play-in game is not counted as part of the contest and will not appear on the entry bracket. Tie-breaker If the tournament ends with two or more entries tied with the same score, ties will be broken in the following order until a winner is determined. - Pick the total score of both teams combined in the National Championship game.
